The MIA RUNWAY 5K 2026 SERIES to includes Miami International, Miami-Opa locka Executive and Miami Executive (formerly Kendall-Tamiami) airports, which combined are expected to host over 5,500 participants and spectators. Have you ever been on an airplane, looked out the window and said, “How cool would it be to run on the runway?” The MIA RUNWAY 5K 2026 SERIES lets you do just that, run the runway of three major airports in Miami-Dade County. The series kicks off in March at Miami Executive Airport (TMB), followed by Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport (OPF) in April. The final destination in the series is MIA, where you will have the unique opportunity to run on the 8,600-foot-long runway 8L-26R.

Home to one of the busiest general aviation airports in Florida, serving corporate, recreational, flight training, and governmental agency activities, Miami Executive Airport provides the second runway of the MIA Runway 5K 2026 Series. This race will be hosted at Wings Over Miami Museum. Wings Over Miami Air Museum serves as a tribute to those aviators and veterans who pioneered civilian and military aviation.

Back for the 6th annual MIA Runway 5K @ Miami International Airport will take place on October 17th . Over 3,500 participants and spectators will experience a unique lifetime opportunity to run on the runway 8L-26R at MIA!  The event location is as unique as the 5K course, the event is hosted at the 25,000 sq.ft. American Airlines Maintenance hangar right on the edge of the runway.
