Named Miami’s Chief Wellness Officer and Co-Founder and co-creator of one of Miami’s signature destination events: The Miami Marathon, Ruiz knows a thing or two about endurance events. In 18 years the Miami Marathon has not only brought over 25,000 people to the SoFlo market, but the event has infused over $200 Million to the local economy. Much of that is credited to the success of endurance destination events like the Miami Marathon and the events associated with health and fitness in mind. Enhancing Miami’s Quality of Life through participant sport events is most certainly one Ruiz’s continuous objectives. Ruiz also enjoys coaching Cross Country at Belen, leading the team to 10 State Championships and 1 SE National Regional Nike NXN Title. Other passions include the creation of what has become the World’s Largest Weekly Free Run Club – The Baptist Health Brickell Run Club Powered by Nike. The Run Club is now part of a group (runclubnetwork.com) of 8 Run Clubs in the South Florida Area (South Beach, West Kendall, Weston, Old Cutler, Gables, Kendall, Homestead, Doral).

As a seasoned event professional and former Life Time Fitness Business Manager, Perez is responsible for strategic planning areas including finance/budgeting, pricing structures, revenue analysis, expense and hard cost reductions, contract compliance, grant/sponsorship activation, and marketing tactics.  Perez is highly organized, an avid negotiator, and committed to every special events excellence. Perez manages all participant registration, organization, and distribution and has conducted the same responsibilities both the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon with 65,000+ participants and spectators.

As a mother of four, Perez enjoys spending time with her family, living an active and healthy lifestyle and attending sporting events with her husband. Perez is also fluent in Spanish.

After co-owning an advertising agency for over 13 years, Polgar ventured off to create his own full circle agency and has had long-standing relationships with a multitude of regional and national clients such as Red Bull, Publix, Anheuser-Busch, Verizon, Wawa, Southeast Toyota, and Warren Henry Auto Group to name a few. Polgar has been selected as the official race director or business manager for a multitude of running events including Wings for Life World Run, 7 Mile Bridge Run, MIA Runway 5K, Live Like Bella® Superhero 5k Run/Walk, Superintendent 5K, Publix Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K and South Florida Craft Beer Run by The Tank Brewing. Polgar’s attention to detail, extensive experiential marketing background, and vast staffing teams ensure every client’s success with 360° solutions that help produce measurable results.
